By 2285, human civilization looks very different. Most humans have left their corporeal bodies for an all digital existence in a hive mind, The Olorem. They maintain their complex computer systems and physical world with "M’Khani"— robots inhabited by human consciousness . Some humans, "The Metropoli," use high level machines and cybernetics in daily life, stopping just short of irrevocably joining the hive mind. Lastly there are "The Pure," those humans who have rebuked all computerized technology. Decades ago, differences in philosophies led many to leave earth and build colonies throughout the Sol system. This is Olorem: The Stream.
Weary of the snobbery of the Martian upper crust, a cybernetics engineer heads to Venus to bury her uncle; but when she discovers he’s been murdered, she must learn to rely on something other than her technology before she herself is arrested and deported.

Technology
- Blue Liners
Telepaths who exchange thoughts with cranial devices by transmitting MindForm data through blue lasers. This technology is outlawed by most governments and its practitioners are to be tracked down and prosecuted. For those who have chosen not to join The Olorem, they don’t want Olorem like technology spilling out into the physical world.
- Builders
A builder has the technological training to control and program Bund, transforming the prerequisite amount of Bund (nanite bundle) into any substance or molecular structure requested.
- The Olorem
Non corporeal mind stack connected by all the Metropoli. They speak in a single voice similar to the Borg. No one outside of it quite understands what it’s like to be part of this mysterious group.
- The People’s Movement for Life
A group of self styled heroes who genuinely have the best interests of all sentient life in mind. This group is not opposed to or enamored by technology. It just exists, as any other tool does, to serve the purposes of sentient beings. They follow the laws of the places they live, and do their best to help individual persons and the state to maintain order. Imagine hippies who will resort to violence when necessary or Jedi.
